Vinyasa Yoga

Students will be guided through flowing postures that are often sequenced together to increase openness, unite movement with breath and develop moderate heat in the body. A dynamic yet meditative practice. Adjustments are given throughout the class as necessary. The class also includes breathing practices and meditation.

HEALTHY MOBILITY

In these classes, you will learn how to develop and maintain increased mobility and flexibility throughout the body. Using a variety of techniques and props, the aim is to promote improved range of motion, freedom of movement, posture, and overall performance. This is a beneficial class for all levels of yoga students, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts.

ASHTANGA MYSORE

This is the class for those wanting to develop further in their practice of yoga postures (asana). In the ashtanga mysore class, students are taught the ashtanga system of yoga in a more individualised and focused environment. Classes are kept small to allow for greater attention and guidance between teacher and student. Newer students will start with a shorter sequence and will be shown how to develop and strengthen all elements of their practice.

Direct entry to this class is only recommended for students with previous ashtanga yoga practice, or a consistent vinyasa or strong general yoga practice. This has been done to ensure you receive the maximum benefit from these classes. For new students wishing to join the ashtanga mysore classes, there are three different options to get started:

  1. attend our healthy mobility classes for minimum two weeks; or
  2. our general yoga classes for one month; or
  3. attend a private class with Alan.
