CLASS TIMETABLE

GENERAL YOGA

Students will be guided through traditional yoga postures with different options and variations given as necessary according to your level of practice. We also include lots of focus on developing the breath with the ultimate intention of uniting the breath with the movement of the body. 

Adjustments are given throughout the class as necessary. This class finishes with meditation.  These classes are also great for those completely new to yoga.

ASHTANGA FOUNDATIONS

Ashtanga vinyasa is a traditional system of yoga transmitted to the world by the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This method of yoga involves the breath united with movement and attention creating a meditative and purifying style of practice.

This 60 minute class guides students through the foundational postures of ashtanga yoga. In this class we will explore the fundamental aspects of the practice – including alignment, breath and inward focus. Adjustments will be given as necessary.  This class is also great for those new to the practice of ashtanga yoga.

ASHTANGA LED & MYSORE CLASSES

In the Led Class students are guided through the traditional sequence of postures. In this format, the class is moving and breathing together in unison. In the Mysore Class, the traditional method of learning ashtanga,  students practice at their individual pace while being supervised and adjusted by the teacher. New postures are taught sequentially to the student  as their strength, proficiency, and humility evolve. 

For those new to ashtanga it is highly recommended that they begin with either the Foundations Class or the hour long Led Classes.

MEDITATION CLASSES

We offer a number of meditation classes.  The Guided Mediation class includes an exploration of different breathing techniques, various forms of meditation which range from silent meditation to chanting as well as philosophy. Every week is slightly different. No prior meditation experience required.  The Tea Ceremony facilitates meditative practice through the gentle embrace of Cha Dao, the way of tea, clearing the mind and opening one’s heart. No prior experience required for this class.  The Seated Unguided class is designed for those with an exisiting meditation practice, the entire session is done without guidance in a seated position.
